About the Process
I am happy to do what I can to bring your desires to life, whatever the subject matter may be. I do have limits to what I’m willing to make, but I’m very open to hearing any ideas you have. My specialty lies in portraiture and animal portraiture. Most of my commission work has been centered on memorial portraits of pets that have passes away, and all of my commission work (that I have obtained permission to show) is represented in my portfolio page. Due to the nature of the commission process, I do have a few things for my clients to consider before work begins
When submitting your commission form, I ask you to schedule a meeting with me before I begin my work because I want to ensure that I deliver the best possible product and you understand the process in its entirety. I do prefer video calls but I’m happy to have a phone call if completely necessary. Please note three dates and times that work for you, and if you’d prefer a zoom or phone appointment. I will likely request via email that you send over as many reference images for your piece as possible so I can get a full visual understanding of your subject. Inspiration pictures are also always welcome.
In this call we will discuss the piece itself and all of the details involved with the process. Commissions can be delicate in some situations, so I want to ensure transparency throughout. However, the process normally is very easy and pleasant! I really enjoy connecting with my clients personally and I find that my work reflects the benefits of these meetings. Every detail that will be discussed is included at the bottom of this page.
I’ll require written consent in the form of a pdf document or email to make sure that we are on the same page!
